Teen Patti probability — the exact odds of every hand
How likely is each Teen Patti hand? There are 22,100 possible three-card hands; here's how many of them make each type, so the odds are exact, not estimated.
Odds of every hand
| Hand | Possible hands | Chance | Odds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Trail / Set | 52 | 0.24% | 1 in 425 |
| Pure Sequence | 48 | 0.22% | 1 in 460 |
| Sequence | 720 | 3.26% | 1 in 31 |
| Colour | 1,096 | 4.96% | 1 in 20 |
| Pair | 3,744 | 16.94% | 1 in 6 |
| High Card | 16,440 | 74.39% | 1 in 1 |
The counter-intuitive bit: a Pure Sequence (48
hands) is rarer than a Trail (52 hands), yet a Trail still outranks it.
The ranking isn't ordered strictly by probability.
See it for yourself
Deal enough hands and the share of each type lands on the odds above — that's how probability works in the long run.
Watch the odds appear
Deal random hands and the "so far" column drifts toward the true odds. It's a probability demo — no betting.
How these are counted
The total is C(52,3) = 22,100. A Trail is any of 13 ranks picked three ways from four suits (13 × 4 = 52). A Pure Sequence is 12 runs in each of 4 suits (48). And so on — every count divides cleanly into the 22,100 total, which is how you know none are missed.
